Which means the link will appear soon on "popular" del.icio.us pages (it's not there at the time of this writing - I guess del.icio.us has some delay managing its Popular pages). What the link was? The link was a website selling spam robot of a new kind. For over $300 they sell a robot which will automatically create load of new accouts and post given URLs to del.icio.us, shadows, simpy, magnolia and other bookmark websites, resulting in submitted link appear as "popular" submitted by many users. Well, looks like our life can become slighty more complicated. If the robot can break del.icio.us captcha then.. Imagine the world full of spam. What do you think we can do with the issue? We had a <a href="http://blogoforum.com/tag/spam+tagandping/spam-folksonomy-helps-1249.html">little discussion on modern spam here at Blogoforum</a>. My suggestion: what if everyone on del.icio.us would be able to tag the spam link as "spam" without increasing its popularity? This would give us ability to at least identify spam. What would you suggest? - 1 reply Fri, 04 Aug 2006 22:07:44 GMT http://blogoforum.com/tag/antispam+del.icio.us+news+spam/del-icio-us-spammed-with-automated-tool-2216.html
