Some time ago Blogoforum (that time talkinghub) was using StatCounter to track its usage. It was pretty good.
I've seen a lot of attention and positive feedback for Google Analytics and signed for it. After three months of waiting, invitation has arrived. talkinghub got new Google Analytics tracking code. And after a few days playing with it, I wanted to get my StatCounter statistics back.
What I missed with Google Analytics? StatCounter beats it with two simple things.
Statcounter shows you instant website statistics. Google Analytics stats update every 5 or 6 hours only. Hey, I love my website stats updated immediately!
Statcounter shows you full referrer information. I haven't found full referrer info within Google Analytics. With Statcounter, you know exactly the place where your users come from.
What is your experience with web counters? Will Google improve its Analytics service?
