Blogoforum Blogoforum - Adding VOTING feature

recent > blogoforum > idea > suggestion > popular and voting

I think it would be useful to add a voting feature that would allow users to express their attitude toward posts (Just like its done on http://www.netscape.com/# or http://digg.com). This feature would give users a clue (espessially when blogoforum reaches tens of thousands of posts) of the most visited\actual posts and blogs.

RE: Adding VOTING feature

I actually mentioned Blogoforum in the context of reputation systems (specifically, the Whuffie system, though in my fervent dreams they change the name) here: http://krotty.livejournal.com/15051.html

I certainly think that another means of slicing through the posting system would be wonderful. Various lenses are certainly within reason; a personal reputation system is always an interesting choice.

Browsing, Readings, Voting

Hi SquidLord, and thanks for your post! I completely agree with you, and Blogoforum will have new browsing features pretty soon.

I saw your post on Krotty's journal and your suggestion to click "I like this poster" or "I don't like this poster"; here in Blogoforum, if you like something, you simply add it to your "Readings". Not only you show this way that you find the post interesting; you get this post under your "readings" list and can get back to it later.

What do you think?
