colayer - what is it?
Found one website some time ago and got back today to review it closely. The website isApril 1, 2006 11:29 AM

Guys definitely have some big vision:
http://colayer.com/PAGE_page7?df3g
They do have some hot ideas like "Virtual reception - Click here, Type and press Enter to interact" - looks like no-form one-click in-page "Contact Us" feature.
Unfortunately it's very hard to find explanation of colayer service. I browsed their "Vision" pages and found alot of marketing stuff, but nothing concrete! Hey guys, are you interested in people enthusiastic about your ideas? Would you please explain your service for us using plain words?
Here is a proposal for you. You can give me your vision and ideas, and I will write short explanation about colayer as a second part of this article.
I must admit that sometimes I experience same thing with talkinghub. I do have some reports of talkinghub service as "I don't understand what it is". While I did some improvements I don't know exactly what part of talkinghub needs more explanation. Would somebody suggest?
One of colayer authors is Shrikant Joshi who visit talkinghub from time to time and gives valuable suggestions. Thanks Shrikant!

RE: colayer - what is it?
Thanks for passing by & leaving a note ... and have a look at colayer.net, our 'test site' for the next colayer.com ...I am the first time on talkinghub.com, and I did find it a bit confusing at first ... but isn't that with every new system?
I remember when I was for the first time in my life on windows! (used to DOS) - all this graphics, icons etc - had a hard time to use it for quite some time until I really 'got it'.
So, designing a Software, your two basic choices are:
1) Design it simmilar to something, that a user already knows (make it Microsoft like, with menues and simmilar flows)
2) OR try to create something very new (the shuttle, the times page etc. in Colayer)
Obviously, we took the second approach ...
But you are right on the marketing stuff (which is by the way written mainly by shrikant and myself):
What is REALLY needed is a place for people to TRY it and then to USE it ... Please have a closer look at colayer.com again in about 15 days - we are currently reworking our site to a public place for our network ... you may have a preview right now on colayer.net (our testing site).
